By making a booking with Ghummofy, you (“the Customer”) confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms in full. These Terms form a legally binding contract between you and Shrinath Adventures.

2.  How to Make a Booking

2.1  Booking enquiry

You may enquire about a tour package through our website contact form, by email at info@ghummofy.com or via WhatsApp. We will respond with a personalised itinerary, inclusions list and price quotation within 24–48 hours on business days (Monday to Saturday, 9 am – 6 pm IST).

2.2  Booking confirmation

Your booking is confirmed only when:

  • You have received a written booking confirmation (by email or WhatsApp) from Ghummofy, and
  • The required deposit or full payment has been received and acknowledged by us.

Verbal confirmations, WhatsApp messages from our team or provisional itineraries do not constitute a confirmed booking until a written confirmation and payment receipt have been issued.

2.3  Accuracy of information

You are responsible for ensuring that all traveller details provided at the time of booking are accurate and complete, including full names (as per government-issued ID or passport), dates of birth, contact numbers and any dietary or medical requirements. Shrinath Adventures is not liable for any losses or inconveniences arising from incorrect information provided by the customer.

Booking tip Always double-check the spelling of names before confirming your booking. Name corrections on flight tickets and permits after booking may attract additional fees from third-party service providers.

3.  Payment Terms

3.1  Deposit

A non-refundable booking deposit of 25% of the total tour value is required to confirm your booking. No services will be reserved or confirmed until this deposit is received.

3.2  Balance payment

The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days before your departure date. For bookings made within 30 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.

3.3  Payment methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm) — preferred for Indian customers
  • Bank transfer (NEFT / IMPS / RTGS) to our registered business account
  • Online card payment via our secure payment gateway (Visa, Mastercard, Rupay)
  • Cash payment accepted in-person at our Jaisalmer office only

All payments must be made in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise agreed in writing. Ghummofy is not responsible for currency conversion charges levied by your bank for international transfers.

3.4  GST

All tour prices are quoted inclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the prevailing rate, unless explicitly stated otherwise. A GST invoice will be issued upon request.

3.5  Price changes

Once your booking is confirmed and deposit received, the price of your package is fixed. We reserve the right to adjust prices on unconfirmed quotations due to changes in fuel costs, government levies, third-party service charges or exchange rate fluctuations.

4.  Package Inclusions & Exclusions

4.1  Inclusions

Each Ghummofy package has a specific inclusions list which will be confirmed in your written itinerary. Standard inclusions may include:

4.2  Standard exclusions

Unless explicitly stated in your package inclusions, the following are not included:

5.  Cancellation Policy

5.1  Cancellation by the customer

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@ghummofy.com or via WhatsApp with written confirmation from our team. Verbal cancellations are not accepted. Cancellation charges are calculated from the date we receive your written cancellation request, as follows:

Important: the deposit is non-refundable in all cases. The 25% booking deposit is non-refundable regardless of the notice period provided. The cancellation percentages above apply to the total booking value, including the deposit. Please take out comprehensive travel insurance to protect against unexpected cancellation costs.

5.2  Non-refundable components

Certain components of your package may be subject to stricter cancellation terms imposed by third-party providers (e.g. airlines, certain hotels, permit authorities). Where a third-party provider applies a higher cancellation charge than our standard policy, the third-party’s charge will apply and will be communicated to you at the time of booking.

5.3  Cancellation by Ghummofy

In exceptional circumstances, Shrinath Adventures reserves the right to cancel a confirmed booking due to:

  • Natural disasters, floods, landslides, earthquakes or other force majeure events
  • Government-imposed travel restrictions, curfews or closures
  • Insufficient minimum group numbers for group departures (where applicable)
  • Safety concerns that make the planned itinerary unviable

In such cases, we will offer the customer one of the following: a full refund of all payments made to Ghummofy; a credit note valid for 12 months; or an alternative itinerary of equivalent value. Shrinath Adventures is not liable for any additional costs incurred by the customer (such as flight cancellation fees or visa costs) in the event of a Ghummofy-initiated cancellation.

6.  Changes & Amendments

6.1  Changes requested by the customer

Requests to amend a confirmed booking (change of dates, destinations, number of travellers or accommodation) must be submitted in writing. We will do our best to accommodate changes, subject to availability and any additional costs charged by third-party providers. Amendment requests made less than 15 days before departure may be treated as a cancellation and re-booking, in which case the cancellation policy in Section 5 will apply.

6.2  Changes initiated by Ghummofy

We reserve the right to make minor changes to confirmed itineraries due to operational reasons, hotel availability, transport changes or other circumstances beyond our control. We will notify you of any such changes as soon as possible. Where a significant change affects your core booking (e.g. change of hotel category or major destination), you will be offered the option to accept the change, transfer to an alternative package or receive a full refund.

7.  Travel Documents & Visas

It is the sole responsibility of each traveller to ensure they hold a valid passport, visa and any other travel permits required for the destinations on their itinerary. This includes:

  • A valid Indian passport or government-issued ID (for domestic travel)
  • A valid passport with at least 6 months’ validity beyond the date of departure (for international travellers)
  • An Indian visa (for foreign nationals) obtained prior to travel
  • Inner Line Permits (ILP) for restricted areas such as Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh and parts of Sikkim (where applicable; Ghummofy can assist with permit applications for packages that include these areas)
  • Any other entry requirements specific to the destinations in your itinerary

Shrinath Adventures is not responsible for any losses or costs incurred as a result of a traveller being denied entry to a destination due to insufficient documentation, invalid visa or failure to meet immigration requirements.

8.  Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all Ghummofy customers. Shrinath Adventures strongly advises you to take out a comprehensive travel insurance policy before your trip that covers, at minimum:

  • Trip cancellation and curtailment
  • Emergency medical expenses and hospitalisation
  • Emergency evacuation and repatriation
  • Loss or damage of baggage and personal effects
  • Adventure activities (if your itinerary includes trekking, water sports, paragliding or similar)

Shrinath Adventures does not provide travel insurance and is not responsible for any costs you incur due to illness, injury, theft, accident, natural disaster or any other event that a travel insurance policy would ordinarily cover.

Adventure activities require specialist insurance. If your Ghummofy package includes trekking above 4,000 metres, white-water rafting, paragliding, scuba diving or any other adventure activity, ensure your travel insurance policy explicitly covers these activities and includes helicopter evacuation cover.

9.  Health, Fitness & Medical Conditions

It is your responsibility to ensure you are in good health and physically capable of undertaking the activities in your chosen itinerary. Please inform us of any pre-existing medical conditions, physical limitations, allergies or dietary requirements at the time of booking. We will make reasonable adjustments where possible.

For high-altitude itineraries (Ladakh, Spiti, Himalayan treks), customers must be aware of the risks of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) and altitude-related illness. Ghummofy recommends consulting a doctor before undertaking any trek or journey above 3,000 metres.

Shrinath Adventures reserves the right to exclude a traveller from an activity or itinerary on safety grounds if a guide or trip leader reasonably believes the traveller’s health or fitness poses a risk to themselves or others. In such cases, no refund will be issued for unused services.

10.  Limitation of Liability

Shrinath Adventures acts as an organiser and coordinator of travel services provided by independent third-party suppliers, including hotels, transport operators, airlines, local guides and activity providers. While we carefully select our service partners, we are not the direct provider of these services.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Shrinath Adventures is not liable for:

  • Death, personal injury or illness caused by the actions or negligence of a third-party service provider
  • Loss, theft or damage of personal belongings during the trip
  • Delays, cancellations or changes caused by airlines, railways or transport operators
  • Events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, political unrest, strikes, pandemics, government orders or any other force majeure event
  • Any indirect, consequential or economic loss arising from your booking or travel experience

Our total liability to any customer in connection with a booking shall not exceed the total amount paid by that customer for the relevant package.

11.  Customer Conduct

All Ghummofy customers are expected to behave in a manner that is respectful to local communities, cultural and religious sites, other travellers and our staff and guides. Specifically:

  • Dress modestly at temples, mosques, gurudwaras and heritage sites; remove footwear where required
  • Follow the instructions of your guide or trip leader at all times, particularly on adventure activities and treks
  • Do not carry or consume alcohol or non-vegetarian food in areas where it is prohibited by local law or religious custom (e.g. Rishikesh)
  • Respect wildlife: do not feed, disturb or approach wild animals during safaris or nature activities
  • Do not litter at heritage sites, wildlife sanctuaries or natural areas

Shrinath Adventures reserves the right to terminate a customer’s participation in a tour if their conduct is disruptive, disrespectful or poses a safety risk to others. No refund will be issued for unused services in such cases.

12.  Complaints & Disputes

12.1  During your trip

If you experience any problem during your trip, please report it to your guide or our local support contact immediately. We will do our best to resolve the issue on the ground. Complaints raised after the trip may be more difficult to resolve, as we will have had no opportunity to address them in real time.

12.2  After your trip

Any written complaint must be submitted to info@ghummofy.com within 14 days of the end of your trip. Complaints submitted after this window may not be considered. We will acknowledge receipt within 48 hours and aim to provide a full response within 21 working days.

12.3  Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from or related to a booking with Shrinath Adventures shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India.

13.  Force Majeure

Shrinath Adventures shall not be in breach of these Terms and shall not be liable to you for any delay, failure or change in services caused by events beyond our reasonable control (“ForceMajeure Events”), including but not limited to: acts of God; natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, cyclones, landslides); epidemics or pandemics; war, civil unrest or terrorism; government actions, travel bans or border closures; strikes or industrial action; or failure of third-party infrastructure (power, internet, transport networks).

In the event of a Force Majeure Event, we will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable and work with you to find an appropriate solution, which may include rescheduling, credit notes or partial refunds where feasible.

14.  Photography & Marketing

Ghummofy may use photographs or video footage taken during your trip for marketing purposes (website, social media, print) where you have given your express consent. If you do not wish your image to be used in this way, please notify us in writing at the time of booking or at the start of your trip.

Customers are responsible for complying with all local photography restrictions at monuments, military zones, wildlife areas and cultural sites. Shrinath Adventures is not liable for any penalties or confiscation of equipment arising from a customer’s failure to comply with photography restrictions.

15.  Acceptance of These Terms
