History of Gadsisar Sagar Lake
- Gadsisar Sagar Lake was built in 1367 by Maharaja Gadsi Singh to store rainwater and ensure a steady water supply for the city of Jaisalmer and its surrounding areas. The lake was named after the Maharaja and has since become an important landmark of the city.
- Over the years, various rulers have made additions to the lake, including temples, ghats, and cenotaphs.
