3:00 PM — Pickup from Jaisalmer Your Ghummofy vehicle collects you from your hotel or Jaisalmer railway station. The 42 km drive through the desert landscape — scrub, villages, blackbuck and open sky — is the beginning of the experience.

4:30 PM — Arrival at Camp Receive a traditional Rajasthani welcome: tilak, garland and a chilled glass of aam panna. Check into your tent, freshen up and get your bearings before the dunes call.

5:00 PM — Camel Safari at Sunset The most iconic moment of any Rajasthan desert camp trip. Your camel carries you steadily through the dunes as the light turns the sand to copper. Reach the top of the ridge just as the sun meets the horizon.

7:00 PM — Bonfire & Cultural Evening As the desert temperature drops and the stars appear, the bonfire comes alive. Manganiyar musicians and kalbelia dancers perform under an open sky. Chai, snacks and conversations flow. This is the heart of the Jaisalmer overnight camping experience.

8:30 PM — Rajasthani Thali Dinner A full spread of traditional Rajasthani food served at your camp table — dal baati churma, ker sangri, bajre ki roti, gatte ki sabzi, churma ladoo, achaar and chaas — with the Milky Way as your ceiling.

10:00 PM — Stargazing & Desert Silence The Thar is one of India’s best locations for stargazing near Jaisalmer. No light pollution, no city haze. Lie back on the warm sand and count satellites. Sleep when you’re ready — your tent is waiting.

5:30 AM — Sunrise Walk The best two hours of any desert camp stay. Walk to the east ridge with your guide and watch the Thar come alive in slow motion. Cold, still, luminous.

7:30 AM — Breakfast & Departure Hot paratha, omelette, seasonal fruit and chai. Check out by 9:00 AM. Vehicle drops you back to Jaisalmer city — sunburned, sand-dusted and significantly happier than when you left.
